The project

A new architectural reference along the Tagus.

Pines Urban Resort is the most recent premium residential development in Parque das Nações, occupying a privileged position facing the Vasco da Gama Bridge and the eastern zone of Lisbon. A private condominium of 43 apartments with common areas designed in detail: outdoor mirror pool, gym, clubhouse, themed gardens and custom-designed mailboxes.

Esquema Curioso was invited to execute all exterior carpentry and wood details — from ventilated slatted façades and solar brise-soleil that compose the building's architectural language, to pool deck pergolas, entrance portals, column cladding, mailbox panels and interior signage. We worked with thermally modified Nordic pine and sucupira, chosen for their dimensional stability, resistance to Atlantic climate and noble aging.

Every piece was pre-fabricated in our workshop in Santarém and installed on site with schedules coordinated with other trades — civil construction, glazing and landscaping. The result: a building where wood is not an accessory, but the visual and tactile signature that defines the experience of living.
